MO-DI™ No.1 – Anti-Scuffing Paste

Product Description

A solid lubricating paste, with a particularly low friction coefficient for assembly and running in of metallic components.

MO-DI No.1 has been specially developed as a high concentration of molybdenum disulphide (MoS2) in a suitable grease carrier. It is essentially useful as an assembly paste, having extreme anti scuffing properties: for surface treatment of moving parts.

It can be used for dry lubrication and as a subsidiary to other lubricants. Applied by rubbing or smearing thinly where necessary. MO-DI No. 1 is ideal for that difficult and hard to overcome lubrication problem.

Product Overview

Anti-Scuffing Paste: A solid lubricating paste, with a particularly low friction coefficient ideal for assembly and running in of metallic components. Prevents galling on start-up.

Sizes: 50g | 500g | 5kg | 15kg

Application: Clean contact surfaces. Apply grease using a brush, spatula, grease gun or automatic lubricating system. Apply as a thin film evenly. Grease can be used in centralized lubrication systems.

Do not mix with other greases or pastes.

Features & Benefits

• Low friction coefficient.
• High pressure-absorption capacity.
• Prevents seizure and scoring .
• Suppresses stick slip.
• Reduces formation of fretting corrosion.
• Provides emergency running performance.
• Improved plant availability from less plant shuts, reduces operating costs.
• Prevents galling on start up.

Applications

Suitable for press-fit production of all types of machine elements, as a running in lubricant for new machines and gears, as permanent lubrication of machine elements which are submitted to slight or intermittent movement only as well as for drilling, sawing and thread cutting.

Used to lubricate threaded spindles, splined shafts, tooth gearing, worm gearing, moving screws, fittings, pumps, guides on machine tools, as well as for fitting ball and roller bearings, white metal bearings, pulleys, wheel flanges and bolts.

Further uses:

Suitable for application for any metal to metal surfaces.

Engine: Crank shaft journals & bearings; big end and small end bearings and bushes; piston skirts; top of the cylinder bores; valve stems and valve guides; timing chain sprockets. Oil pump gears.

Manual Transmission: Main shaft to gears and sleeves; and lay shaft to cluster gear and needle rollers; gear teeth.

Transfer Cases: shafts and sleeves; bearings; gear teeth.

Differential assembly: Bearings; spider gears in planetary system; Crown wheel gear teeth; Pinion gear bearing and teeth. Floating and semi-floating side shaft bearings.
